The new members were extended a floral welcome.
The club members were dressed in traditional outfits to celebrate the festival. Kids Punya and Ankita played the role of Radha and Krishna, mesmerizing the gathering with their dance performance. The ladies later enjoyed the flower shower as the entire hall was filled with the fragrance of roses.
Vipin Mahajan, a resident of BRS Nagar, said the experience turned out to be a thrilling one. ''It was better than the actual Holi we play with colours,'' she added.
Another member, Premlata Thukral of BRS Nagar, said, ''We wanted to promote the traditional celebrations, hence added the flowers.''
Former president of the club Neelu Aggarwal recalled the list of functions celebrated during the year. A resident of Kitchlu Nagar, she said, ''In May, to moderate the effect of summer, we held the Coolest Queen competition in which Arpana Aggrawal had won. In June, the club held a competition for kids with their mothers. The members showcased singing, dancing and other artistic skills in a talent competition held in September. The ladies enjoyed every bit during Karva Chauth festival during which Raveneet Kaur, Neelu Aggrawal and Shelly Goel stood first, second and third. Finally, in a chilly December, the club held group coffee session during which we played one-minute games.''
